0001579: provide interface option to show speeds in bits-per-second vs. bytes-per-second
Please provide a "Preferences -> Interface -> Misc GUI Tweaks" option to show all transfer speeds in bits-per-second instead of the default bytes-per-second format. I would greatly appreciate this because my brain just thinks in terms of bits-per-second, and after all, most networking terms use bits-per-second as in 10-Mbit, 100-Mbit, or 1000-Mbit (a.k.a. Gigabit) connections, etc. Thanks!

There is no option to show file sizes in bits in ls or any file handler either.
So, no.

I think you're confusing "file sizes" with "network transfer rates". It's quite common for networking tools to give you this option, and this just makes more sense for networking because bandwidth capacities are generally expressed in bits-per-second (e.g. Gigabit network speed, vs. a Gigabyte of disk storage).
