mherbert, did your IP change during this network failure? Or a simple netowork cable disconnect keeping the same IP will do what you say? |

A simple network cable disconnect does it (maybe you can just check it?).
Maybe this issue can be solved with a configuration change? I wish this would then be the default configuration.
However, it would be nice if amule was ALSO able to recover from an address change, something frequent with DSL lines. |

You can detect an IP change by its side-effect: all connections stall. The suggestion is not about monitoring the IP configuration on the host, rather about a more robust reconnection/recovery scheme. |
