0001040: aMule ignores setting for Incoming directory
On my computer /home is a mountpoint for a partition.
/home/p2p is a mountpoint to another partition and /home/p2p/incoming and /home/p2p/temp are set as the incoming and temp folder in aMule's preferences.
Since I didn't had any use for the default folders in /home/user/.aMule/ anymore I deleted them.
After a restart aMule recreates /home/user/.aMule/Incoming and after comlpetion of a download copies the file into that folder (and therefore on a different partition) although /home/p2p/incoming is set as the incoming folder (which is on the same partition as the temp folder so the file merely gets "retagged" as beloging to another folder and no copying takes places (and thats a lot faster)).
I can just delete /home/user/.aMule/Incoming again right after aMule creates it and evrythings fine.
But I have to repeat that procedure everytime aMule starts up. (because i'm too lazy to write a simple shell-script to do that for me, i know.)
I installed aMule as a precompiled RPM-package from the PackMan-repository at : http://packman.links2linux.org [^] .

Every category has a folder. If you change your incoming folder, check the categories, because you need to change their destination fodlers as well.

I've never seen any folder within my temp- or incoming-folder.
And in /home/user/.aMule are only files, no folders anymore.

.... and i was about to ask where to change those settings, but i just found them.

Right-mouse-button on a category opens a menu for specific settings of that category. Not only name and coloring but a specific incoming-folder can be choosen. And they were all still set to /home/user/.aMule/Incoming. So that's why this directory was always recreated. I told aMule to, but wasn't aware of that.
And i could define a specific folder for every category, so my downloads end up neatly sorted in different folders, instead of one big cluttered incoming-folder.

I wasn't aware of that as well. This is some useful information...
Someone should write a wiki-page about it....
... oh well, i'll try.

Anyway i changed every destination folder and that should do the trick.
This bug is no bug nomore.....
