Bug is still here on last gnome version (2.32), could you tell me if you plan to correct it?

That's actually a problem with wxWidgets. We can't do anything about it but throw out all icon-handling we have now, and write a new one (for each OS) from scratch. And as you may imagine, none of the developers are willing to do that at the moment.
