0000274: Messages turn into empty strings when they contain special characters
When someone sends me a message and the string contains a special character (like è or ò), the string I receive is empty (no end of line, too).
If I send a string with special characters, they are sent but seems to be garbled (this could be on the receiving end, though).

Maybe you apply a sort of filter to incoming messages? Looks somethink related to bug 0000229.
I'm not sure, but I think this started since rc8.
SuSE 9.2.
I installed your v2.0.0rc8 RPM.

Damn... sorry, It is not bug 0000229 but 0000248.
0000248 is unicode-related, maybe while fixing it you applied it to messages, as well.
