Summary0000672: escalated privleges changed samba and kernel
DescriptionI got hacked ! a message was sent to my amule and my ping times went from 0000114:0000200 to <1000. checking the logs I found that samba had been made the master browser ?! another useron the network said all of his firefox screens pop up then pop back down .
Steps To Reproduce
Additional InformationI think I fixed it by redownloading the kernel and removing samba . I have yet to reinstall amule to see if any other network communications happen that are suspicious. the attached file is a log of what happened

Stupid question: On what ground did you conclude that aMule is the source of the security breach?
Also, did you run aMule as a normal user or as root?
