Summary | 0000842: IPv6 capabilities
Description | Because now most of the OS's are IPv6-ready, and more and more ISP are providing IPv6 natively (like Nerim in France, the ISP I'm using) or are about to do it (Wanadoo and Free are testing it), it would be great if aMule were (one of) the first P2P software to implement IPv6. I know it's a big task, and that lungdunum servers are not IPv6 ready at all, but you could discuss it with them, and and for now work on IPv6 P2P file transferts and kad. Don't forget it will have to be done one day or another, and things works better when coded w/ a long beta-test. In my opinion we still have a few years to get ready ;) let's use it.
