Summary0000665: Amuleweb is too slow on transfer page
DescriptionAmuleweb is too slow when transfers list is too big (not too bif ... just passing 10 items).

reported to bugs.debian.org -> http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=339605 [^]

but, decide to come and report it at amule mantys interface.

It is very nice amuled and amuleweb to put it in servers that do not have X.

I don't know which features are in amuleweb, but it was nice to make avaiable the option to refresh the ipfilter list.

regards

Luis Matos

The problem seems to be the image rendering for the status bar

ls -l .aMule/Temp/*.part | wc -l

200 items of info it's... well. A lot.

Why would the image render be the problem? Any info that backs that up?

because when amuleweb crashes, it just shows about 40 or 50 progress images ... and the rest of the page is done, except of the progress images.

Now it is working fine - restarted amule and amuleweb - (it is the first time in 6 days - list gone too long 3 days ago), but still ... is too slow showing the list.

again ... it crashes even before showing anything. Sengmentation Fault.

Well ... it seems anyone have the same problem, but can anyone confirm that even in lan, amuleweb is slow to produce output from transfer page?

It's ok here on lan. amuleweb shouldn't crash of course. Soemthing in the amount of files you have is triggering a crash. do you have any gdb backtrace?

no, have no debug. can you please help me with that, so that we can findout what is going on?

With slow, i mean REAL slow, several minutes. Can't anything be done to achieve better performance?

Probably we could find a way to optimize that, of course.

Please check http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Backtraces [^]

I have this problem for a long time even with aMule 2.1.1.
No need to have 200 download items, passed 10 items it's already difficult to have an instant refresh of the window (aMule is started since about 1-2 hour).

Very very anoying, I must restart aMule each time I want to search, scroll etc.

nb: with 2.1.1 it's better (less worse :-) ). Between two moments where aMule bugs, it's possible to have everything ok.

I would prefer if you test current CVS, as I did several fixes to EC.
