Summary | 0000488: FC4 - amule installation tip |
Description | So here FC4 comes...What to do? Though "HOWTO Compile aMule on Fedora Core 3" would do just fine...but no, can not get the docking icon where it belongs. It will get a own icon/window (gnome).
Then I tried recompiling wxGTK just for fun (wxGTK 2.6.1 this time too) as in " HOWTO Compile and install aMule from source" linked against GTK2
./configure --prefix=/usr --with-gtk --enable-unicode --disable-compat24 --enable-optimise
So back too "HOWTO Compile aMule on Fedora Core 3" , but just for aMule itsealf...this time it works!
And why? For some this is simple...but I missed it. FC4 apperently switched over to use GTK2 (gnome itsealf?). Fun right? :) Hope I helped someone... |
