0000595: amulegui locks on start up with ECSocket errors

Description

Randomly, when running aMulegui, I get a flood of lines about ECSocket errors and a system slowdown (to the point that it would take me a few minutes to move to tty1, login and kill it). This happens _after_ the host/port/password selection screen.

Example of what I get in a working amulegui:

When amulegui locks, that last line gets repeated till I kill it.
