0000642: memory leak and subsequent lock up

Description

I am using amule in Ubuntu 5.10 "Breeze Badger" the wx library is the 2.4.2.6 version. After a day of running I need to close amule since it grows indefinitely in memory, taking up most of my pc's ram. Sometimes the program just freezes (this happens when I leave it running as a tray icon, hidden, that is) and I cannot even close it, I need to kill it. Does anyone know how to fix all this or what it might be related to?
